mangoberry delight
MANGOBERRY DELIGHT
Mangoes and Strawberries are a match made on earth in summer.
There is no such thing as MangoBerry other than this dessert.
It is light, feathery and effortlessly melts in the mouth leaving you asking for more.
Overall a great summer dessert that just takes about 5 ingredients, easy to make as a do-ahead dessert or just for some mango indulgence. Here is our recipe.
MANGOBERRY DELIGHT
Preparation time: 10 min
Chilling time: 1 hr
Total time: 1.10 hr
Makes: 6 servings
INGREDIENTS:
3 mangoes, peeled and cubed, can use tinned mango puree
1 tbsp Greek yogurt or any plant-based thick yogurt
3 strawberries or more
1 tbsp unrefined sugar, optional
1/4th tsp of cardamom powder
For Garnishing- few slices of strawberries
METHOD:
1) Put all the ingredients into a blender or food processor and blend until creamy and smooth for about a minute.
2) Divide the delight equally into small serving bowls and chill until ready to serve.
NOTES:
1) You can add more strawberries to make this delight, however, the texture and consistency of the delight will be less thick.
2) It is a good idea to use strawberry yogurt instead of greek yogurt to do full justice to this recipe, again since the yogurt already has some sugar, it is better to avoid adding any more sugar.
3) If using Alphonso variety of mangoes or using tinned or canned mango puree, check for sweetness before deciding to add sugar as these contain more sugar and alphonso are sweetest mangoes than any other mangoes.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS
Garnish the mangoberry delight with some thinly sliced strawberries or chopped mango, or both and serve cold. Try!
